New Delhi [India], January 11 : Congress leader and candidate from Kalkaji constituency, Alka Lamba, slammed the Bharatiya Janata Party and Aam Aadmi Party holding both parties responsible for the "destruction" of the national capital.
Attacking AAP national convenor Arvind Kejriwal and Delhi Chief Minister Atishi, she alleged that they are "in touch with the RSS Headquarters."
"The former CM and the temporary CM are more in touch with the RSS Headquarters than the people of Delhi... Arvind Kejriwal, stop visiting PMO, BJP, and RSS. He can't even sleep at night because the BJP has instilled fear in him... We are challenging both AAP and BJP because both are responsible for Delhi's destruction," said Alka Lamba.
Reacting to Union Home Minister Amit Shah's latest speech in the national capital, the Congress candidate said that both AAP and BJP just blame each other, while affirming that the Congress party will form the government in the upcoming Delhi Assembly Elections.
"They (BJP and AAP) just keep blaming each other for Delhi's poor condition. Congress' hand is going to make a comeback on February 5... BJP and AAP are making a joint effort to avoid any discussions on Delhi's issues... That's why they want to distract people with these counter-allegations... We are trying our best to ensure that the people of Delhi vote on the basis of Delhi's issues," she said.
Earlier in the day, in a no-holds-barred attack on the AAP, Amit Shah said that the toilet in Kejriwal's 'Sheesh Mahal' is more expensive than the slums in the national capital, while strongly asserting that Delhi will be freed from the "AAP-da" on February 5.
Addressing the 'Slum Dwellers' conference here in New Delhi, Shah emphasised that the BJP's manifesto is the guarantee of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
"The BJP has listened to the pain, inconvenience and anger of the slum dwellers against the broken promises. They have made a list of all your problems and given it to BJP national president JP Nadda and Prime Minister Modi. Our manifesto will provide you relief from all your problems. The BJP manifesto is the guarantee of Prime Minister Modi... The BJP manifesto is not like the manifesto of 'AAP-Da.' We do what we say," he said.
The Delhi assembly polls will be held in a single phase on February 5 and the counting of votes will take place on February 8.
