Rohtak (Haryana) [India], September 20 : Union Minister and former Haryana CM Manohar Lal Khattar exuded confidence in the Bharatiya Janata Party's win in Assembly polls, saying that the BJP will form the government in the state for the third consecutive time.
The former CM underscored that the Congress's manifesto provides benefits, whereas the BJP's manifesto provides facilities to society.
"Our manifesto means to provide facilities to society. Their manifesto means to provide benefits. We do not work by providing benefits, we work by providing facilities so that people's lives become simpler," he said.
"The people of Haryana have decided that they will form the BJP government for the third time," the Union Minister added.
Meanwhile, former Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda claimed on Thursday that the BJP's manifesto is a copy and paste of their manifesto, and from 2014 to 2019, the BJP did nothing.
Hooda said, "It is a copy-paste of ours. We have said that theirs are all false promises. Look at our manifestos from 2005 and 2009; we fulfilled all our promises. Look at their manifestos from 2014 and 2019--they did nothing. They made false 'ghoshna patra'. It is a bundle of lies."
Congress MP Deepender Singh Hooda also alleged that the BJP had copied the Congress manifesto.
Speaking to ANI, Hooda said, "The people are still roaming around with their 2014 manifestos. Neither did they get their Rs 15 lakh in their bank accounts, nor did the farmers income double, nor did the diesel petrol rates come down. No one believes their manifestos. They have copied the Congress manifesto, which said that the LPG cylinder would be given for Rs 500. Similarly, they said that they would give women Rs 2100, which means that they have accepted the inflation."
Earlier on Thursday, Union Minister and BJP President JP Nadda, along with Haryana BJP president Mohan Lal Badoli and Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini, launched BJP manifesto in Rohtak, Haryana.
The Bhartiya Janata party promised guaranteed jobs for Agniveers and financial assistance of Rs 2,100 per month under 'Lado Laxmi Yojana'. To boost employment in the state, the party announced that ten industrial cities will be built on the lines of IMT Kharkhoda and more than 50 thousand youth from nearby villages will be given employment.
Under the healthcare initiatives, under Chirayu Ayushman, the amount of Rs 5 lakh received per year will be increased to Rs 10 lakh. The party also promises to offer scooters to college-going female students under the Awal Balika Yojana and LPG cylinders for Rs 500 under the Har Ghar Grahini Yojana.
During the event, Union Minister JP Nadda highlighted key promises from the party's 'Sankalp Patra,' stating, "All women will be provided financial assistance of Rs 2,100 per month under the 'Lado Laxmi Yojna.' Under the Chirayu Ayushman scheme, the Rs 5 lakh you get per year will be increased to Rs 10 lakh. MSP on 24 crops will continue, and we will provide government jobs to 2 lakh youth."
He also assured that LPG cylinders would remain available for Rs 500 to Antyodaya BPL families and guaranteed government jobs for Agniveers.
