Chennai (Tamil Nadu) [India], January 15 : BJP leader CR Kesavan has launched a scathing attack on Rahul Gandhi, accusing him of making anti-national statements. Kesavan claims that Gandhi's recent remarks are a direct attack on India's sovereignty, unity, and integrity. He alleges that Gandhi has been collaborating with anti-India forces, both abroad and within the country, including individuals and institutions funded by George Soros.
"... Rahul Gandhi's recent statements are anti-national, is he declaring war on the government and the people of India? Has he lost his sense of balance? Or is it a Freudian slip which reveals the real intentions of Rahul Gandhi? His statement is a direct attack on India's sovereignty, unity and integrity," Kesavan told ANI.
Notably, while inaugurating the party's new headquarters 'Indira Bhawan,' hitting out at the BJP, Rahul Gandhi alleged that the Congress and other opposition parties were not just fighting the BJP but "the Indian state itself." BJP hit back, accusing the Gandhi family of "dividing the country."
Kesavan criticized Gandhi's rhetoric as poisonous and fear-mongering and accused him of questioning the media's integrity. He believes this is a ploy by Gandhi and the Congress party to destabilize and weaken India, guided by their political masters.
"He will be punished by the people of India for this direct attack... Rahul Gandhi has been gallivanting with anti-India forces, whether abroad, with individuals, or with institutions funded by people like George Soros who want to discredit, defame and destabilize India. His poisonous rhetoric is stoking fear...," the BJP leader added.
"Today he attacked the media, questioning its integrity... This is a clear ploy by Rahul Gandhi and the Congress party to destabilise, guided by their political masters, to destabilise and weaken India...," he alleged.
The BJP leader demanded an apology from Gandhi, Congress chief Mallikarjun Kharge.
"We strongly condemn Rahul Gandhi's attack... The only ideology he seems to believe is in dictatorial dynastic rule. He has gone to the extent of declaring war on our country to further his dynastic interests, supported by anti-national forces... ," he said, hitting back at Rahul Gandhi.
"He must apologise to the country, as should the Congress Party and its leader, Mr Kharge. The people of India will teach a fitting lesson to anti-national Rahul...," he said.
