Chennai (Tamil Nadu) [India], March 5 : Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Tamil Nadu National co-in-charge, Sudhakar Reddy, hit out at the ruling DMK over the delimitation row, accusing MK Stalin's government of raking up emotional issues to divert from the main issues.
Speaking to ANI on Tuesday, Reddy said, "...There is simple vote bank politics as it is an election year... People of Tamil Nadu are fed up with DMK. They have failed to maintain law and order. DMK is raking up emotional issues to divert from the main issues...
Referring to Union Home Minister Amit Shah's statement, he said, "In Coimbatore, the Union Home Minister clearly said that no southern state will face any loss. They (DMK) are not understanding, only provoking people. They want to divert attention from real issues...."
State BJP Chief K Annamalai also announced on Tuesday that Union Home Minister Amit Shah will visit Tamil Nadu in the next two days.
"Union Home Minister Amit Shah will visit Tamil Nadu in 2 days. A lot of changes may take place," Annamalai said.
Shah's visit comes amid the tussle between DMK-led Tamil Nadu and the BJP-led Centre over the three-language policy and its apprehension regarding the delimitation process.
Notably, Chief Minister MK Stalin convened an all-party meeting on March 5.
Earlier, Stalin confirmed that invitations for the all-party meeting would be sent to the 40 political parties registered with the Election Commission of India (ECI) in Tamil Nadu.
