"Govt dedicated to providing industries with sustainable green energy supply": Gujarat CM Bhupendra Patel

Gandhinagar (Gujarat) [India], March 12 : Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel reaffirmed the state's commitment to providing green energy to industries, driving the growth of renewable energy.
He stated that just as the state government has successfully promoted green energy in the agriculture sector, it now aims to accelerate its adoption across the industrial sector, encouraging more industries to transition to sustainable energy sources.
CM Patel was addressing the Annual Meet 2025 organized by CII Gujarat. The meeting featured discussion sessions on the theme "Viksit Gujarat Powering a Prosperous India."
Patel stated that, under Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership, the nation's outlook has undergone a remarkable transformation, with people embracing ambitious goals and strong commitments to build a 'Viksit Bharat.'
He noted that PM Modi has proactively encouraged green energy production and investment, and Gujarat is resolute in realizing this vision.
In the last Vibrant Gujarat Summit, nearly half of the total MoUs focused on the green energy sector, reaffirming the state's dedication to sustainable development.
The Chief Minister further stated that to advance green growth through renewable energy, the government is working towards developing one of the state's industrial estates, GIDC, into a model hub exclusively for industries powered by green energy.
He said that the Prime Minister has termed this phase the right time for India to take the lead in global development.
During this defining moment, Gujarat, as a growth engine of development, is committed to supporting and promoting quality products, providing assistance for MSMEs in packaging, and encouraging industries.
The CM conveyed confidently that with collaborative efforts between the industrial sector and the state government, Gujarat's products can establish themselves as globally competitive, high-quality offerings.
CM Patel urged that to realize the core principle set by PM Modi "Sauno Saath, Sauno Vikas, Sauno Vishwas, and Sauno Prayas" it is vital to recognize and ensure the active participation of every individual in the industry and trade sector, driving holistic development. At CII's Annual Meeting - Vision India @ 2047."
Chairperson Swati Salgaocar stated that the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), driven by the dedicated efforts of over 600 members, is actively working in line with Sauno Saath, Sauno Vikas to unlock new opportunities for trade and industrial growth in the state.
She further mentioned that the government's progressive policies have played a key role in accelerating industrial development. She added that industrial development has witnessed rapid progress due to the government's policies. She mentioned that GIFT City, Dholera SIR, and PM MITRA parks have emerged as attractive destinations for investment in the state.
Emphasizing the organization's commitment to industrial growth alongside Gujarat's development, she expressed confidence that this annual meeting would serve as a significant step towards Viksit Gujarat through the collaboration between the Gujarat Government and CII.
CII Chairman Kulin Lalbhai said that under the visionary leadership of the Prime Minister of India, the nation's industrial development is advancing, along with the growth of the state. Stating that the government is always committed to solving industrial issues, he expressed confidence that Gujarat is becoming a strong center of India's economic development.
He further stated that Gujarat is making remarkable strides across various industrial sectors, reaching new heights of growth, driven by the government's proactive approach to industry promotion and ease of doing business. The Annual Meeting featured discussions on various initiatives and strategies aimed at advancing the state's industrial development.
