Italian man uses social-distancing doughnut to keep coronavirus at bay
Mar 17, 2020
Rome [Italy], Mar 17 : As revealed by a Twitter video, an Italian man was recently spotted using extreme social distancing measures to safeguard himself from the deadly coronavirus.
To do so, the gentleman wore a giant cardboard doughnut around his waist which was suspended from two shoulder straps, reported Fox News.
The massive diameter of the contraption seemed to do a pretty good job at keeping anyone and anything at a safe distance.
In the short Twitter clip shared last week, the man was shown walking through a marketplace in Italy while donning his innovation. The exact date of the video, however, is not known.
The person filming the scene can be heard enquiring, "and this would be a safe distance?" to which the man replied "for coronavirus," Fox News said in its report.
More than 24,000 people in Italy have been tested positive for COVID-19, meanwhile, over 1,800 have succumbed to its effects.
