Madhya Pradesh: 74-year-old woman who tested positive for Covid-19 dies in Indore

Indore (Madhya Pradesh) [India], April 22 : A 74-year-old woman who had tested positive for Covid-19 died while undergoing treatment in Madhya Pradesh's Indore district, an official said on Tuesday.
The woman, a resident of Indore, was admitted to Aurobindo hospital on April 19 after suffering from cold-cough and fever for the last 20-25 days. She succumbed in the early hours of Tuesday at around 2 am, he added.
Chief Medical and Health Officer (CMHO), Dr B S Setia told ANI, "Two patients have been tested positive for Covid-19 at Aurobindo hospital on Monday evening, which includes a 74-year-old woman who was admitted here on April 19. She was suffering from cold-cough and fever for the last 20-25 days and she died while undergoing treatment at around 2 am. Another patient, a resident of Dewas district, has also tested positive and his health condition is stable. The patient who died due to multi-organ failure and septicemia."
Currently, only two patients have tested positive for Covid-19 here in the district, he added.
Meanwhile, Indore Collector Ashish Singh said that there was no need to panic and all the situations were under control.
"Two patients tested positive for Covid-19 of which one patient who was suffering from other diseases too died due to multi-organ failure. Though she was tested positive, there is no need to panic at all. All the contacts of both the patients have also been tested and instructed to be isolated. If required, then we will hospitalise them. All the situation is under control and there is no need to panic," he said.
