One Nepal citizen dead, another injured in Pahalgam terror attack, Nepal FM says

Kathmandu [Nepal], April 23 : Nepal Foreign Minister Arzu Rana Deuba has confirmed that a Nepali national has been killed in the Pahalgam terror attack on Tuesday.
The Foreign Minister announced that Nepali national Sudip Neupane was dead and his mother was injured in the attack.
"I am deeply saddened by the news of the death of Nepali citizen Sudip Neupane of Butwal-11, Kalikanagar, Rupandehi, in the terrorist attack that took place in Pahalgam, Kashmir yesterday. I pay my heartfelt tributes to him and express my deepest condolences to his family," the Foreign Minister announced.
Earlier in the morning, the Foreign Minister had announced that Nepal is verifying reports regarding the possible loss of any Nepali nationals in the Pahalgam terror attack.
Furthermore, the Foreign Minister confirmed that his mother is being treated.
"I also wish a speedy recovery to his mother, who was injured in the terrorist attack. We have also received news that they have arrived for a visit. Condemning such a cruel and inhuman act is not enough. The Government of Nepal condemns this incident and stands with the Government of India and the people of India in this hour of grief. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is in touch for further information about the incident."

Tuesday's attack in Pahalgam, a popular destination in the scenic, mountainous region where mass tourism, especially during the summer.
India is mourning the tragic death of innocent tourists, the coffins carrying the victims of the terror attack were brought to the Srinagar airport. Home Minister Amit Shah who flew to Pahalgam paid tribute to the victims earlier in the morning on Wednesday.
This has been one of the biggest terror attacks after the abrogation of Article 370 in 2019. Following the terror attack, security forces have launched search operations on Wednesday to track down the terrorists responsible.
Security has been heightened since the attack, with visuals from the area showing the streets deserted in the usually bustling tourist area. Many organizations have also called for a Jammu bandh following the attack.
