New Delhi [India], January 19 : Aam Aadmi Party MP Sanjay Singh lashed out at Bharatiya Janata Party on Sunday, calling them a "party of slogans," which cannot give a future to the people of Delhi.
"The way Arvind Kejriwal is being attacked, all I can say on this is that the party of slogans can only attack. It cannot give any future to Delhi and its people," the AAP MP told reporters.
He expressed confidence in the party winning the upcoming Delhi Assembly election, adding "You will not be able to defeat Arvind Kejriwal even by attacking. We are ready to face every attack. We will fight and win."
Earlier today, AAP alleged that that criminals were sent to kill Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) national convenor Arvind Kejriwal, the attack allegedly took place during Kejriwal's election campaigning on Saturday.
Delhi Chief Minister Atishi alleged today that three individuals attacked the AAP leader, claiming that a person named Rohit Tyagi was involved in the attack and is also a close associate of BJP candidate Pravesh Verma and has been involved in his campaigning.
Countering AAP's claims, the BJP candidate alleged that the former Chief Minister's vehicle "ran over" BJP workers. He alleged that the car ran over three youths, calling it an "attempt to murder."
"AAP National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal's car hit the three youths and the driver of the car applied brakes after seeing the three youths but Arvind Kejriwal signaled the driver to crush them...They have been injured... This is an attempt to murder and I am going to the police station...The three youths will also file an FIR and a case of attempt to murder will also be registered," Verma added.
Delhi will go to the polls on February 5 and the counting of votes will take place on February 8. The New Delhi Assembly seat will see a triangular contest between Kejriwal, BJP's Parvesh Verma and Congress' Sandeep Dikshit.
