Prayagraj (Uttar Pradesh) [India], January 21 : Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP Rajiv Pratap Rudy hailed the Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister for organising the Maha Kumbh and said the scene of the mass gathering had never been imagined.
"The event which has been organised under the leadership of UP CM Yogi Adityanath and Prime Minister Narendra Modi has never happened before," he told ANI.
"50 crore people are expected to arrive, out of which 10 crore have already arrived. Perhaps such a scene of mass gathering has never been imagined or imagined. The faith of every person has been overflowed," Rudy added.
Earlier, Adani Group Chairman Gautam Adani, during his visit to the Mahakumbh also lauded the Uttar Pradesh administration for their exceptional management of the Mahakumbh gathering.
Highlighting the scale of operations, he stated that the organization and execution of the Maha Kumbh Mela should be studied by management institutes and corporate houses as an exemplary case of efficient administration.
He said "The administration of Uttar Pradesh, especially the police personnel and sanitation workers, considering the way millions of people come here, and the manner in which the arrangements are maintained, in my opinion, is a subject of study for management institutes and corporate houses as well".
He further emphasized the contributions of the police personnel and sanitation workers, whose tireless efforts make the event a success. "In my opinion, this level of management is a subject of research for management institutes. There is nothing greater than receiving the blessings of Maa Ganga," he added.
Devotees gathered at the Maha Kumbh Mela even as dense fog engulfed the area. The inclement weather conditions did not seem to affect the footfall of pilgrims.
Thousands of people gathered on the ghats of Sangam to take a holy dip in the Triveni Sangam, a sacred confluence of three rivers - Ganga, Yamuna and Saraswati.
The footfall of the pilgrims is expected to increase in the upcoming days which will see four key Shahi Snans.
Maha Kumbh Mela began on January 13 and will continue until February 26.
The next key bathing dates include January 29 (Mauni Amavasya - Second Shahi Snan), February 3 (Basant Panchami - Third Shahi Snan), February 12 (Maghi Purnima), and February 26 (Maha Shivaratri).
As per the data of the Uttar Pradesh government, more than 1.597 million devotees took a dip at Triveni Sangam in Prayagraj on the ninth day of the Mahakumbh.
Uttar Pradesh police deployed over 10,000 personnel, including local police and paramilitary forces for the event's security. The National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) has deployed a "water ambulance" stationed at Sangam to ensure the safety of devotees.
