"Public only believes in 'Modi Ki Guarantee' now," says Delhi BJP President Virendraa Sachdeva

New Delhi [India], December 12 : Hitting out at the AAP and its national convenor Arvind Kejriwal, Delhi BJP President Virendraa Sachdeva on Thursday accused them of making "false promises" saying that they have promised to provide financial support to women in Punjab and Delhi, but haven't given a single penny since then.
Sachdeva added that now the public of Delhi and the country only believes in the 'Modi Ki Guarantee'.
Drawing a comparison between the two on the same issue, Sachdeva said that, on the other hand, the BJP is providing financial support to women in several states, whether it is Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Haryana, Odisha, or Maharashtra.
"Before the Punjab elections, the AAP announced that it would provide some funds to women in the state. But to date, has anyone received even a rupee? They cry over the low amount of government money. In the Lok Sabha elections, Arvind Kejriwal had promised to give Rs 1000 to women, Kejriwal made them fill out the form. Now, it's December, and nobody has received any money. Now, the Delhi assembly elections are on the verge of being conducted and they (AAP) can see they are losing the elections, hence they are trying to give a 'lollipop' to the public. The country and people of Delhi now believe only in 'Modi ki guarantee', it fulfils all the promises of women. We have done it in Madhya Pradesh for years, and now it is being done in Chhattisgarh, Haryana, Odisha, and Maharashtra. They (AAP) just make promises, that are too fake," the Delhi BJP President said.
Attacking further, Sachdeva said that if they wanted to give a financial aid, they would have given just after the Lok Sabha elections.
He said, "Arvind Kejriwal if you wanted to give, you could have given them after Lok Sabha elections when you made them fill out the forms. It's been two years since the AAP government has been in power in Punjab, but they have never given them a single penny. So, the public of Delhi better knows about your fake promises and now they only believe in the 'Modi Ki Guarantee'."
Earlier on Wednesday, Sachdeva said that it doesn't matter if Congress and AAP form an alliance for the Delhi assembly polls, as the BJP will form the government in Delhi.
His remarks came after Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) national convenor Arvind Kejriwal ruled out any possibility of an alliance with the Congress.
In a post on X, Kejriwal said, "Aam Aadmi Party will be fighting this election on its own strength in Delhi. There is no possibility of any alliance with Congress."
The Assembly polls in Delhi are likely to be held in early 2025. AAP won 62 out of the 70 seats in the 2020 assembly elections and BJP secured eight seats.
