Panchkula (Haryana) [India], September 23 : Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Monday participated in the 'Mahila Sammelan' organised in support of BJP candidate from Kalka Assembly constituency Shakti Rani Sharma in Pinjore, Panchkula district.
Addressing the gathering, the Chief Minister said, "I have come here today to seek support from the women power of Haryana. The Chief Minister said that the way the immense crowd of people gathered at the rally makes it clear that the Bharatiya Janata Party will win with a huge majority in the upcoming assembly polls in Haryana on October 5th."
In the program, Chief Minister Dhami said that under the able guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the BJP government of Haryana has set many records in the last 10 years, after which the picture of Haryana has changed and that the state has progressed in every field, including roads, health, drinking water, and infrastructure.
The Chief Minister said that in the last 10 years, the BJP government in Haryana has built 40 major national highways and laid a network of roads in every village.
"Recently in the past, the Central Government has increased the railway budget for Haryana from Rs 300 crore to Rs 3000 crore. All this is the miracle of the double-engine government," said CM Dhami.
Chief Minister Dhami said that the Haryana government is working dedicatedly for women's power along with providing pure drinking water to every household.
"In the last 10 years, 24 lakh poor families in Haryana have received free gas connections, while 44 lakh poor families are being given gas connections for Rs 500.
The Chief Minister said that the governments of 10 years ago neither allowed the daughters in the state to progress nor took care of them, but in the last 10 years, the BJP government has worked rapidly under the Beti Padhao Beti Bachao campaign, moving the daughters forward.
He said that the Haryana government has made a provision of 50 per cent reservation to ensure the participation of women in Panchayati Raj. Today, 41 per cent of the Sarpanchs elected in Haryana are women who are fearlessly working to take their villages forward.
The BJP government has done unprecedented work in the field of women empowerment by establishing a large number of Mahila Thanas in Haryana.
The Chief Minister said that the state of Haryana is moving the wheel of development forward under the able leadership of Chief Minister Naib Singh Saini. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said that in Haryana, the Congress has given the slogan 'Haath Badlega Haalat' but their history shows that the hands of Congress have never changed the situation, rather the hands of Congress have always worked to strangle the common man.
The Chief Minister said that 10 years ago, the Congress government was a government of scams, sometimes there was an industrial scam, and sometimes there was a scam of the land of poor farmers. In the Hooda government, the system of Parchi-Kharchi was run by the Congress in government jobs.
The Bharatiya Janata Party government has abolished the system of slips and expenses and has brought Haryana out of the quagmire of casteism and corruption and implemented a transparent system.
Earlier in the day, Home Minister Amit Shah highlighted the BJP governance in Haryana and criticised the previous Congress rule.
"Our Haryana is the best example of how BJP rules. Earlier, governments of two parties used to come and go in Haryana. When one party came to power, corruption increased and when another party came to power, hooliganism increased. In both, nepotism and casteism were at their peak. For the first time, BJP has formed the government in entire Haryana," he said.
"Before the BJP government came to power, one could not get a job here without an expenditure slip. But BJP has recruited thousands of youth with complete transparency without any expenditure or slip," Shah added.
"Congress governments were there--to make happy Delhi's son-in-law, farmers' land was allotted at very cheap rates. In Hooda Sahab's government, dealers have much say, the son-in-law has a say, and the corrupt have a say. BJP has ended the government of the dealer and son-in-law. Hooda Sahab has promised to give 2 lakhs jobs, it's in the manifesto of Congress, I want to ask the leaders of the Congress party -'ye 2 lakh naukariyan kisko doge, jo yuva yogya hai usko doge ya jo aapko kharchi data, jiske paas aapki parchi hai usko doge?'" Shah said.
Shah accused Rahul Gandhi of "misguiding" youth regarding the Agniveer scheme."About Agniveer, Rahul Baba is misguiding the youths. I am firm in what I say, and today I am saying that none of the Agniveer of Haryana will be left. The Indian government and the Haryana government will provide them with a job with pension facilities. Middlemen in Delhi are waiting for Congress to come into power in Haryana, I want to ask the people of Tohana, would you want to give Harayan in the hands of middlemen?" Shah said.
Voting for the 90-member legislative assembly in Haryana will be held on October 5. Votes will be counted on October 8 along with that in Jammu and Kashmir.
