"We feel like we've found a new home...": Miss World Director Steve Morley as Telangana gears up for the beauty pageant

Hyderabad (Telangana) [India], March 20 : Miss World will return to India in its 72nd edition as Telangana is set to host the prestigious beauty pageant in May this year.
Director of the Miss World Organisation, Steve Douglas Morley, visited Hyderabad to review the preparations for the event and expressed his happiness over the state's diversity and beauty.
"We saw the state...the Principal Secretary showed us the beauty and the diversity that is here. We were so impressed. We're having a show here...you can't get more impressed than that," he told ANI.
Morley also praised the cuisine of Hyderabad and the warm welcome he received from the people after arriving in the city.
"I think the beautiful food here is something that should be spread around the world, but really it's just how everybody has been so fantastic. You know, from the moment we've arrived, smiles always smiles. Everyone is happy. Everyone wants us to be here. Everyone is sharing their lives with us, and we just feel like we've found a new home," Morley told ANI.
Earlier today, Miss World 2023 Krystyna Pyszkova of the Czech Republic, along with Julia Morley, Chairperson and CEO of the Miss World Organization visited Hyderabad reviewed the arrangements and expressed excitement over India's role in hosting the prestigious competition.
Speaking to ANI, Pyszkova expressed her excitement about the upcoming event in India, underlining the country's vibrant culture and significance in the Miss World journey.
"I love the Indian sparkle that the last edition had, and it will be just amazing, as I said, and India has a lot to offer this time... As you may know and have heard, Miss World is about actually doing the action, not only the talking, so in all of the states we're visiting, we're trying to find some project. We're trying to be helpful. I visited the temple, which was a magical experience. I always dreamt of going to the Hindu Temple to see how it is, and my dream came true yesterday. I received a lot of blessings..." she said.
Recalling last year's event, which was held at the Jio World Convention Centre in Mumbai's Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC), Pyszkova reiterated her admiration for India's hosting of the pageant.
"I love the Indian sparkle that the last edition had, and it will be just amazing, as I said, and India has a lot to offer this time."
Pyszkova, who won the 71st edition of Miss World, will now play a key role in promoting the pageant's values and initiatives as it returns to India.
The 72nd Miss World beauty pageant is set to take place in Hyderabad from May 7 to May 31.
