Alt News co-founder Mohd Zubair's objectionable tweet led to storm with hate speeches: Cyber Cell

New Delhi, June 28 (ANI): Speaking on the arrest of the co-founder of Alt News Mohammed Zubair, Deputy Commissioner of Police, Cyber Crime Unit, KPS Malhotra on June 28 informed that Zubair’s tweet on social media led to hate speeches. “Mohd Zubair's objectionable tweet led to a Twitter storm with hate speeches, detrimental to communal harmony. 2 things including technical gadget and intention was important. He was evasive on both, phone was formatted. This formed grounds of arrest,” said Malhotra. “If you endorse a view on social media, it becomes your view. Retweeting and saying I don't know, doesn't stand here. Responsibility is yours. Time does not matter, you only have to re-tweet and it becomes new. Police action was on basis of when matter came to our cognisance,” he added.
