Arrested fugitive Pradeep Paliwal involved in economic offences of Rs 100 crore: EOW Joint CP

New Delhi June 28 (ANI): Joint Commissioner of Police, Economic Offence Wing, Chhaya Sharma informed that the wanted fugitive who was nabbed earlier on June 28 has been involved in economic offences worth Rs 100 crore. Addressing a Press Conference, Sharma said, “Pradeep Paliwal was wanted in two EOW cases. He was a proclaimed offender in one case, and alleged person in the other one. He managed to evade technical surveillance by using Zimbabwe-activated SIM cards while operating on WhatsApp and Telegram.” “He was also wanted in a 2018 CBI case. He is involved in some 4-5 cases. He has swindled upwards of Rs 100 crores in total. He would not spend more than 12 to 24 hours in a place. He would use 7-8 phones at a time. It was very hard to track him down,” she added.
