Barmer tent collapse: MoS Kailash Choudhary visits victims in hospital

Barmer (Rajasthan), Jun 24 (ANI): At least 14 people died on Sunday after 'pandaal' collapsed in Rajasthan’s Barmer. Minister of State for Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare and Barmer Member of Parliament (MP) Kailash Choudhary visited the hospital in Barmer today. He met the injured who are currently receiving medical treatment in the hospital. While speaking to ANI, Kailash Chaudhary said, “The incident is painful. I offer my condolences to the departed souls and their family members. I am in contact with the administration. I have spoken to Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot. The compensation announced by CM has reached the affected.” Meanwhile, Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has announced compensation of Rs 5 lakh each to the next of the kin of those who lost their lives and Rs 2 lakh to the injured.
