Beauty of Srinagar’s Chrysanthemum Garden adds to winter charm of Srinagar

Srinagar, Dec 02 (ANI): First Chrysanthemum garden plays a major role during off season including autumn months in Srinagar. It was set up by experts of Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology (SKUAST). This garden attracts a large number of tourists especially researching students and scholars during off season like October, November and December. People belonging to the tourism industry also get a lot of benefits from this garden. Notably, the shelf life of this unique and attractive flower is very good and it is also available in valley which help the authorities to set up this garden very easily. Recently, Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah also laid the online foundation stone of Chrysanthemum garden which prepared on hundred kanals of land. Authorities of the floriculture department expects that this beautiful garden will be completed in October 2025.
