Border Personnel Meeting Hut reconstructed near LAC in Arunachal Pradesh

Wacha Border (Arunachal Pradesh) Aug 29 (ANI): A Border Personnel Meeting Hut got reconstructed in Arunachal Pradesh to discuss peace and tranquillity issues across the India-China border. It held the first post Covid meeting with China. Speaking to ANI on August 28, Major Rajesh Thakre said, “Wacha Border Personnel Meeting (BPM) point plays a significant role in delegation-level talks between India-China. It is one of the 5 BPMs we have in India. It has been reconstructed recently at a cost of around Rs 4.39 Cr.” “It is important because it is the place where interaction between both the border guarding troops takes place... There is one official BPM meeting in a year and 4 celebratory meetings. Recently a celebratory meeting was organised on August 15,” he added.
