May 15, 2019
New Delhi, May 15 (ANI): The Election Commission today cut short campaigning period in West Bengal by a day, implying that no political parties will be allowed to campaign in the state after 10 pm tomorrow. The unprecedented action by the polling agency came in the wake of clashes during BJP chief Amit Shah’s roadshow in Kolkata yesterday. Both BJP and TMC have traded accusations over the violent clashes.
