CM Bhupendra Patel reviews flood situation in several parts of Gujarat

Jamnagar (Gujarat), August 29 (ANI): Chief Minister of Gujarat Bhupendra Patel held a meeting with officials over the flood situation in parts of Gujarat. Severe flooding in parts of Gujarat on has submerged streets and homes as heavy monsoon rains continue to wreak havoc across South Asia. As per sources, over 20,000 people have been evacuated due to the flooding in Gujarat. With assistance from the Indian Air Force, a large number of people have been relocated to safer areas across the state. A total of 23,871 individuals have been moved from rain-affected regions, and 1,696 people have been rescued. The heavy rainfall has led to the overflow of 15 rivers, 21 lakes, and various reservoirs, worsening the situation. CM Bhupendra Patel also conducted an aerial survey regarding the damage caused due to heavy rains in Jamnagar and Devbhoomi Dwarka Khambhalia areas.
