Delhi Police busts gang of fraudsters duping Indian woman

New Delhi, September 17 (ANI):With the arrest of four accused, Delhi Police busted a gang of fraudsters involved in cheating an Indian woman. Theaccused have been identified as Kosorachi Patrick Amadi, Meya Imchen, Hematoli Sumi and Baben Rai. They have duped Rs. 6.5 crores from a woman under false pretence. The accused used to take money on the pretext of sending a parcel containing expensive items by creating fake profiles on Facebook and Instagram. In 2016, a woman lodged a complaint claiming that she got scammed by a person through Facebook. In this regard, the police registered a case and investigation was taken up. During the investigation, the Police team traced an accused in Safdurjung enclave with the help of technical assistance. After this, the police team conducted a raid in arjun nagar area and arrested one lady accused. Further, at her instance, police arrested the other three accused. Police have recovered five mobile phones, one laptop and 32 debit cards from their possession. Further investigation is in progress.
