Democracy is under threat in WB, CM Mamata Banerjee is sole reason: Nirmala Sitharaman

New Delhi, May 15 (ANI): After the violent clash that took place during Amit Shah’s roadshow in Kolkata on Tuesday, BJP staged protest at Jantar Mantar in the national capital today. While speaking to media, Union Defence Minister Nirmala Sitharaman said, “People have gone inside the gate, the whole campus is intact. Beyond the gate, there were only TMC workers. The statue of Ishwar Chandra Vidyasagar is broken and Mamata Banerjee is trying to shift the blame to BJP. Our Yuva Morcha worker Priyanka Sharma, who just did a caricature, got arrested and was sent to prison. Democracy is under threat in West Bengal and Mamata Banerjee is the sole reason for it.”
