Discrimination increases risk for mental health issues in young adults: Study
Nov 14, 2021
New Delhi, Nov 14 (ANI): Young adults who have experienced discrimination have a higher risk for both short and long-term behavioural and mental health problems, a recent UCLA study has found. The findings of the study were published in the journal 'Pediatrics'. They found that the effects of discrimination may be cumulative. The study also suggested that the effects of discrimination in young adults are connected with disparities in care for mental health concerns. The findings shed light on the multidimensional impact of discrimination on mental and behavioural health and overall well-being.
