EAM Jaishankar raises concern over safety of Indian diaspora in UK following temple violence

New Delhi, Sep 22 (ANI): External Affairs Minister Dr S Jaishankar on September 22 raised concern over the safety of the India diaspora in the UK amid communal clashes. The cycle of violence was triggered on August 28 after India won the Asia Cup T20 match against Pakistan. On September 18, a clash broke out among groups of young men in Leicestershire. Recently, a mob staged a violent demonstration outside the Durga Bhawan temple in Smethwick. A video which went viral on social media showcased a large crowd of people marching towards the Durga Bhawan Hindu Centre on Spon Lane. As of now, a total of 47 arrests have been made so far.
