Exhibition organised in Srinagar to promote local products

Srinagar (J&K), Apr 04 (ANI): The authorities in Srinagar organised an exhibition to boost manufacturing of local products and to increase the source of employment in the Kashmir valley. This was a joint initiative by Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium enterprises (MSME) and Department of Industries and Commerce. This was aimed to help the young Kashmiri entrepreneurs, who are making different products, including the local Kashmiri art and food products. The production units are situated in valley at different places. These entrepreneurs from valley are facing problem of proper marketing of their products, which results in poor sale at large scale, thus they struggle to improve their business. MSME came forward to help and organised the exhibition. The participating entrepreneurs had displayed their products at different stalls that were provided by the authorities of Kashmir Haat exhibition ground. The exhibition attracted the officials and local people from the valley. College students from different colleges in valley also participated and displayed their home made food products and wood carving products in the exhibition. The exhibition was appreciated by the participants and visitors and had an appeal to government for organising such exhibition at large scale, so that it can benefit the youth so that they can have better employment opportunities and flourish their business in valley.
