HM Amit Shah Inaugurates Sports Complex in Gujarat Utilizing Railway Overbridge

In a landmark development, Union Home Minister Amit Shah inaugurated a state-of-the-art Sports Complex this weekin Ahmedabadutilizing the area near the CIMS Railway Overbridge,aligning with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of transforming unused spaces into productive assets for the public. This ambitious project, built by the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation at an estimated cost of Rs 3.50 crore, is the first of its kind. It offers a wide range of facilities, catering to both outdoor and indoor sports activities. Gujarat’s Sports Minister Harsh Sanghavi said ‘it is the first of its kind in Ahmedabad that was built in just few months. It was built with a cost of Rs 3.5 crore only. In this centre, separate blocks have been built for pickleball, box cricket, basketball and indoor games. And for table tennis, nearby people and children can come and train, such blocks have also been created.” “Gujarat government under the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation, this facility is going to be built under total of 10 bridges. We are going to build the same facilities in Surat at two places, four in Vadodara, two in Rajkot and two in Gandhinagar Municipality Corporation area,” Sanghvi added. This new sports center not only promotes physical activity but also stands as a symbol of Gujarat’s commitment to innovative urban planning and community development.
