Lucknow (Uttar Pradesh), Jun 22 (ANI): Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on Friday admitted that senior BJP leaders, before the elections, were unsure of the party defeating the SP-BSP alliance in Uttar Pradesh, and said they were of the view that the party wouldn't be able to get more than 10-15 seats in the Hindi heartland state. Singh added that he himself, although didn't have such conservative target, had doubts of BJP repeating its 2014 performance. Singh praised the BJP workers and the voters of Uttar Pradesh for party's magnificent win in UP. “After SP-BSP alliance in UP, even senior leaders used to think, we (BJP) will only get 10-15 seats and not 72. Even after staying in power for 5 years, there was no anti-incumbency, on contrary, there was pro-incumbency. BJP's vote share increased,” Singh said at a BJP workers' event in Lucknow.
