J&K: Diwali mela organised by BSF for jawans and their families in Budgam

Budgam (J&K), Oct 29 (ANI): Diwali Mela was organised by the Border Security Force at the Subsidiary Training Centre (STC) in Budgam. It was inaugurated by the Roopa Yadav, wife of IG BSF Ashok Yadav. Ethnic food stalls, games, entertainment activities as well as cultural programmes were available in the mela. BSF personnel and their family members participated with great enthusiasm and enjoyed every activity. Diwali Mela is a special occasion for the Jawans, fighting insurgency in Kashmir valley, to come together and celebrate. These Jawans, away from their families, are having their share of fun by celebrating Diwali Mela in their own style.
