Kamal Haasan meets CM Mamata Banerjee in WB’s Howrah

Howrah (West Bengal), Mar 25 (ANI): Makkal Needhi Maiam (MNM) chief Kamal Haasan met West Bengal Chief Minister and Trinamool Congress (TMC) chief Mamata Banerjee at Nabanna in Howrah today. Both leaders met each other ahead of the Lok Sabha elections. Kamal Haasan had said that he will not contest the Lok Sabha elections. Speaking to ANI, Kamal Haasan said, “Meeting was excellent we are proud to say that MNM is an ally of TMC in Andaman. We hope this relation evolves in future. I am going to campaign for their candidate in Andaman.” The General Elections will be held in seven phases for 543 Lok Sabha seats on April 11, April 18, April 23, April 29, May 6, May 12 and May 19. The counting of votes will take place on May 23.
