Karnataka farmers strike: Centre has to take decision, not in my hand, says CM Kumaraswamy

Bengaluru (Karnataka), Jun 24 (ANI): Karnataka Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy in Monday reacted on strike by Karnataka Rajya Raitha Sangha (KRRS) members demanding water of Cauvery and Hemavati rivers to be channelized to canals for saving standing crops. He said, “Central Government already constituted Cauvery water management authority, now Cauvery water management authority has directed Karnataka government to release nine TMC of water Tamil Nadu, here shortage is there, even for Bangalore city drinking water shortage is there, in villages there is drinking water problem is there. Central Government has to take the decision; they have to give direction to water management authority this is not in my hand.” The indefinite strike by the Karnataka Rajya Raitha Sangha (KRRS) entered the fourth day on Monday.
