Udhampur (J&K), May 27 (ANI): Ration cards have been linked with Aadhar in Jammu and Kashmir’s Udhampur. The move has brought transparency in the distribution of ration to the beneficiaries. Under the new system, ration goods will be distributed to beneficiaries after validation of biometric identification. While speaking to ANI a local, Pooja said, “The initiative of linking ration cards with aadhar is a good move. Earlier if a family had four members, they used to get ration for only three members. But now with the new move the ration will be distributed appropriately.” Another local said, “This move will benefit the poor people, and we don’t to worry about robbery anymore.”
