LS polls: Admirers persuaded me to contest election, says HD Devegowda

Bengaluru, Mar 24 (ANI): Former Prime Minister and President of Janata Dal (Secular) HD Devegowda said that he had no intention of contesting for Lok Sabha 2019 elections. Speaking to ANI, he said, “Earlier, I had no intention of contesting elections. The persuasion of several admirers not only from Karnataka, but from outside Karnataka also, made me contest the elections. They tried to persuade me that I must contest at this critical juncture.”
