LS polls: EC should add expense of roadshows to candidate’s total expenditure limit, says Mayawati

Lucknow (Uttar Pradesh), May 14 (ANI): Amid the Lok Sabha elections, while addressing a press conference in Lucknow today, Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) chief Mayawati said, “Roadshows and offering prayers have become a fashion during elections, where a lot of money is spent. The Election Commission (EC) should add this expense to the candidate's total expenditure limit.” “During a ban on a candidate for violating Model Code of Conduct (MCC), if they go to a public place or offer prayers at a temple and it is shown in media, it should be stopped. EC should take action on it,” Mayawati added.
