Manipuri guy awarded $5000 by Facebook for finding WhatsApp bug

Imphal (Manipur), Jun 13 (ANI): Facebook awarded Zonel Sougaijam, a 22-year-old engineer from Manipur’s Imphal, with 5000 US dollars for finding a bug in its messaging service application WhatsApp. Sougaijam found the bug, when he was using the Facebook-owned app to voice call his friend and informed Facebook about it. Facebook then acknowledged the technical glitch and fixed the bug within 15 days. “I came across this bug during a voice call with my friend and reported it to Facebook, they acknowledged the bug and fixed it within 15 days,” Sougaijam told ANI.
