Mangaluru (Karnataka), May 25 (ANI): ‘Modi Abhimani Balaga’ (Modi Fans Club) performed the traditional ‘Yakshagana’ for BJP’s victory in Karnataka’s Mangaluru. ‘Yakshagana’ is a traditional theatre form, developed in Udupi, in Karnataka. It combines dance, music, dialogue, costume, make-up, and stage techniques with a unique style and form. It is believed to have evolved from pre-classical music and theater during the period of the Bhakti movement. The BJP has secured 303 seats, which is 22 more than it got in the 2014 elections and along with its allies, the NDA took its tally up to 352 in the 17th Lok Sabha. People in Tulu Nadu stage ‘Yakshagana’ plays, if their prayers are fulfilled.
