More than 7 crore voters participated in 7th phase of elections: EC

New Delhi, May 19 (ANI): While addressing a press conference, Deputy Election Commissioner Umesh Sinha told media that, “In 7th phase of Lok Sabha elections 2019, around 7.27 crore voters participated of which 3.47 crore were women and 3,377 belonged to third gender”.He further added, “The total turnout figure upto phase six was 67.37 per cent”. Polling has concluded in 542 parliamentary constituencies across states and union territories.The seventh and final phase of Lok Sabha elections 2019 was held on May 19 in 59 constituencies, including in Varanasi where Prime Minister Narendra Modi is seeking to retain the seat.
