New Delhi, April 18 (ANI): Nearly a month ago, the tricolour at the Indian High Commission in London was pulled down by Khalistanis. Now, the National Investigation Agency took over the case to investigate the matter. Counter Terrorism and Counter Radicalization division of the Home Ministry handed the case to NIA. The anti-terror agency registered FIR based on the orders of the MHA and began its probe. MHA took the decision to hand over the case to NIA following a meeting with UK representatives last week. It is learnt that a special team of NIA, including a Deputy IG rank officer, may visit London very soon. Tricolour flying atop the Indian High Commission in London was grabbed and pulled down by protesters. Pro-Khalistan groups were protesting against the Punjab Police's crackdown on Sikh hardliner Amritpal Singh. India highlighted its concerns over the breach of security at the Indian High Commission. “India want action on the ground,” said MEA on attacks on Indian High Commission in UK. The Ministry of External Affairs last month summoned UK Deputy High Commissioner after the incident. Soon after the incident, security was beefed up around Indian High Commission in London.
