Omicron increases tendency to breakthrough one’s immunisation: NCDC Director

New Delhi, June 27 (ANI): National Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) Director Dr Sujeet Kumar Singh on June 27 said that a virus like Omicron has an increased tendency to breakthrough one’s immunisation. “You have a varied spectrum of population with fully immunised to zero immunity people despite being vaccinated. Gradually as immunity goes down you get an increased susceptible pool of population. Virus like Omicron has an increased tendency to breakthrough your immunisation. As susceptible pool increases, so do cases,” he said.
