PM Modi slams Congress, BJD for keeping country’s people poor

Kalahandi (Odisha), Apr 02 (ANI): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday criticised the Congress and Biju Janata Dal (BJD) for the underdevelopment of Odisha and said that such parties conspired to keep the poor of the country poor for their vote bank politics. PM Modi also underlined the tragic incident of Dana Manjhi, a man in Odisha’s Kalahandi, who walked 10 kilometers carrying his wife’s body due to absence of ambulance in his village. “Parties like Congress and BJD conspired to keep the poor of the country poor, they deceived the poor. They treated them as vote-bank, and because of this don’t know how many Dana Manjhis don't even get ambulance,” PM Modi said at a public rally in Odisha’s Kalahandi.
