Quality will not be compromised in road construction: CM Gehlot

Jaipur (Rajasthan) September 02 (ANI): Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for the construction of 3,063 km long roads, ROBs and bridges costing Rs 3,324 crore. This will provide better transportation facilities to the people and more and more industries will be established in the state. Speaking on the occasion, Chief Minister Gehlot said that ensuring the quality of roads is the priority of the state government. In view of this, the inspection system will be further strengthened. Intensive inspection is also being ensured by the officials of the Quality Control Branch. The state government will not compromise on the quality and the roads will be constructed as per the proper norms. Chief Minister Gehlot further directed the departmental officers to ensure necessary maintenance after the construction of the road in coordination with the contractors. All the terms and conditions of the contract entered into with the contractors should be complied with. Also, officials should ensure the quality of construction works by making regular and surprise visits.
