Rajasthan: Traditional medicine for lumpy skin disease soon

Jaipur (Rajasthan) August 16 (ANI): A high-level meeting was held on Monday under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot to review the spreading of lumpy skin disease in different districts of Rajasthan. During the meeting, CM Gehlot expressed that the state government is working with utmost seriousness and sensitivity to control the spread of lumpy disease in animals. The disease has spread in about 15 districts of the state. Our priority is that with the cooperation of all the common people, public representatives and the opposition, this disease should be prevented from spreading in more districts. The CM stressed that due to the prompt action of the administration, the infection and death rates have declined. He instructed the Chief Secretary to issue guidelines for traditional treatment after taking suggestions from the Ayurveda Department. Along with this, instructions were also given to run a public awareness campaign in villages to remove the misconceptions spreading among the general public about the disease. He said that cleanliness of Gaushalas, sprinkling of sodium hypochlorite, fogging and availability of JCB should be ensured. Chief Minister Gehlot called upon the people of the state that they can give suggestions for prevention and treatment of this disease in writing or on 181 to the government.
