Repertory theatre of Kashmiri play ‘Lalleshwari’ attracts audience in Srinagar

Srinagar, Feb 22 (ANI): Repertory theatre of Kashmiri play ‘Lalleshwari’ attracted audience at Tagore hall in Srinagar. It was organised by Vomedh art group with an aim to highlight the role of Lal Ded in Kashmiri poetry. The show was performed by well-known artist Suman Pandita where her performance attracted the audience at large scale. Notably, Kashmir valley, where people are living with unique composite cultures, is known as valley of Sufi and saints. During the past, the valley produced a good number of male and female poets who contributed a lot in Kashmiri languages. That’s why, for decades, art and Kashmiri literature loving people always organising different shows and theatre plays to highlight the importance of these literary figures.
