Tokyo Olympics: Families celebrate as Indian women’s hockey team enters semi-finals

Khunti (Jharkhand)/ Haridwar (Uttarakhand), Aug 02 (ANI): Family members of Indian hockey team players are celebrating the victory. “I watched her quarter-finals match today. We're happy that our team defeated Australia and entered semi-finals of the Tokyo Olympics. We hope that she will return with gold medal,” said Soma Pradhan, Indian women's hockey team midfielder Nikki Pradhan's father. “Family is very happy that Indian women's team has reached the semi-finals. She (Vandana) is fulfilling the dream of our late father. I want to congratulate the team and Vandana for this achievement,” said Anjali Katariya, women's hockey team forward Vandana Katariya's sister. “My daughter is playing in Indian team and I want her to bring medal for the country. I feel proud of her. I haven't thought that she would play at the highest level for the country,” said Soran, mother of women's hockey team forward Vandana Katariya.
