Tourism Department organised Aharbal Mela for promotion of Tourism in J&K

Kulgam (J&K), Sept 14 (ANI): Department of Tourism organised Aharbal Mela in Kulgam district of South Kashmir. It was organised in collaboration with Kulgam District Administration. The purpose of the Mela was to promote Kashmir tourism especially at tourist destination Aharbal waterfall. It was organised near Aharbal Waterfall Park which is a very famous destination in South Kashmir. Various stalls were installed by various departments including Agriculture, Horticulture, Sheep, Animal Husbandry, Tourism, KVIB, Apiculture, Floriculture and Handicrafts. Local tradition and culture were also displayed in mela. The Aharbal Mela saw a variety of events including a painting competition for school kids. There were also cycling and trekking events which were flagged off by Deputy Commissioner of Kulgam Dr Bilal Mohi-ud-din Bhat. The participants and locals lauded this step taken by the District Administration.
