University staff in Pakistan-occupied Gilgit Baltistan alleges irregularities, calls for rotation policy

PoGB, 18 December 2024: - The Academy Staff Association of Karakoram International University has voiced concerns over the non-implementation of key policies as they have called for boycott of services to address long-standing grievances. Highlighting irregularities, a staff member pointed out that administrative staff are being managed through a "pick and choose" approach rather than a systematic rotation. He further raised concerns that certain employees have been burdened with up to three portfolios simultaneously.
