Visually impaired persons participate in democracy’s biggest festival

Amritsar (Punjab), May 19 (ANI): Visually-impaired persons in Punjab’s Amritsar exercised their right to vote on Sunday during the seventh and final phase of the 2019 Lok Sabha elections. They had cast their vote at polling booth number 187 in Institute for the Blind. The visually-impaired voters can also bring a helper with them to cast their vote. The key contest here is going to be held among BJP's Hardeep Singh Puri, who is also serving as Union Minister in Modi cabinet, Congress' Gurjit Singh Aujla and AAP's Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal. Voters across 59 Lok Sabha constituencies in Punjab, Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal, Bihar, Madhya Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh, Jharkhand and Chandigarh will decide the fate of candidates in the final phase of the elections. q
